Posting my messy sketches for my ideas of “Jam with an updated outfit.” I like sharing this process cause it’s nice to get feedback and also show that artists don’t just always press the “make some art” button.
I really wanted to make something that would push the “chef” aspect of her character. I designed her top to evoke the idea of a head chef uniform with an apron, and wanted to make her bangs and shoes a bit more utilitarian. Realistically though, she shouldn’t have skirt or the big billowy sleeves, but I also didn’t want to change her silhouette and lose the GREAT flow of movement the sleeves offer.
