She's a mix of the new and old. The Shawlies were the famous merchant women of Cork City, around Cornmarket Street. They'd have anything and everything to sell. I'm a descendant of them. Y'know the Onion Seller statue in the city? That's my great... I believe times 3(?) grandmother! And of course, she'd sell you loads of Cork's own fizzy favourite: Tanora.
