I've been making big eyes at Kuretake Aurora Orange because the green-orange granulation is so pretty, but I can't justify dropping thirty whole dollars on a set of 5 colours that I really only want one of and also don't really know what I'd do with, so I tried to see if I could recreate something similar with the paints I have.
Verdict: not really? I can get colours that look relatively similar, but the colour separation doesn't work the same way. That does give me more control over what goes where colour-wise, but it's not really the same aesthetic. I also struggled to get any sort of deeper hue, but that might be a me problem.
