The name of the story is in reference to the world, called Celestial because of its three continents: the Lunar Kingdom, the Solar Empire, and the Stellar Isles. The main characters are Prince Eligio of Stellar, General Quinn of Lunar, and the scribe Nen of Solar, collectively known as the Champions due to their calling to save the world from being drowned. They each share a love of the sillies, so together they make a real ragtag band of court jesters.
