The Delta-40 is a disintegrator meant for salvaging ships. It can shoot a point or line of energy that subtly but surely scatters the atoms it touches, thus easily carving through metal or anything else for that matter.

This device also has an onboard computer to make continuous cuts, can rotate and move the energy emitters and even rotate the head completely while carving through matter.
