The game I was making these for ended up being bad and boring and I'm resigned to scrapping the whole thing, but I'm still pretty proud of some of the art, and learned a lot making it, so I don't feel too bad about it. They look really nice in motion too. I used a lot of bank switching and interrupts to animate a lot of the background tiles in different ways, and the particles floating around look great bobbing around too.

at the start of this month, i gave myself a challenge; write, record, mix and master some new @NOCTORAN music before Bandcamp Friday. while i failed to complete the record in time for that, i did end up cooking some raw music that i'm very proud of. and i even ended up finishing my birthday drawing and using it as the album art!

thus; "Blood of Satan"! this album's a bit of an extension of the more traditional and raw style of classical black metal, much like last month's "The Clouded Peak of Null Space" demo. there's a bit more bass presence this time around, leading to a "heavier" sound. i'm really proud of this new material, so i hope you enjoy it.

final recordings begin this week (today in fact!), with mastering and then release following.
