And the Goddess wept, tears spilling forth like molten gold. She wept; wept for her people, those who could not saved from the fires of war, those who were not unharmed by the greed of their fellow, those who were undone by their very nature. But for those she wept most were her little mortals, they who were not spared the cruel passage of time-- for a Goddess may turn the tides of war, and may she too enlighten the hearts of man, but never can she ease the crushing burden of a bleeding hourglass.
