So.. I finished this thing:
Well, I feel kinda weird about it*, but I'm proud of it still.
Compression Drawing is an Electron app that uses p5.js and and gm. It explores jpeg compression artifact and recursive image processing in an MS Paint inspired interface. Basically you can draw stuff, deep fry it, draw on top of it, deep fry it again, repeat, repeat, etc.

That youtube video I made for it is surprisingly getting more attention than I thought it would. 670 views, 82 likes, and 11 comments in 3 days is a lot for me. It's all been positive so far, but it makes me kind of nervous that it'll get too much attention and people will start to have high expectation. I've only taken a single class in javascript in art school and I've never made anything this big coding wise.Currently you need to use a command line interface to run it which I'm not too happy about. I really want to package it into a proper exe and dmg, but I feel like that's way out of my league and impossible with how I've written it. The errors with Windows really bums me out because I have no way to debug it myself since I only have a Mac and I can't afford to buy a Windows license to run a virtual machine. I really want to work on these issues but they just seem impossible to tackle right now.
Anyways if you feel up to trying it out (currently macOS only) please let me know what you think. If you are a wiz at javascript and Electron and use Windows, maybe you can spot the glaring mistake I made that's causing the errors?? I would love any comments and advice on how to tackle this.
