favorite fantasy class/job/what-have-you

I mean, if we're looking at classes or jobs in a fantasy setting, that tends to lean toward RPGs, right? At least I'm assuming that's the thrust of the question, based off of the 'jobs' mention - Final Fantasy springs to mind, and I'm having a hard time shifting my brain off that gear.

As it goes, it really rather depends on the game for which class/job/what-have-I is likely to be the most fun. Even depending on the system or the setting, being something like a Paladin can be a lot of fun, though the traditional Barbarian 'I Hit Things Until They Stop Being Things' gameplay is entertaining in its brutal simplicity.

It even changes between tabletop RPGs and games played on the computer. When I'm sitting around a table with folks, I usually try not to peacock and hog table time, so I shy away from rogues, gamblers, 'face' types like that depending on the system. But if I'm playing something liiike... Skyrim, BG3, or Outer Worlds, something like that? My class choices tend toward 'Sneaky Bastard That Will Steal the Trousers You're Wearing' with a dash of 'Made that Kill Shot at the Very Edge of Draw Distance.'
