Just played and beat @ItsMeLilyV 's Bossgame. (https://lilyv.itch.io/bossgame) It's is a cute, very queer reflex-based boss rush game. The music is absolutely phenomenal, which is especially helpful when you're struggling on difficult fights. The general gameplay and input is good, but the game recommends a controller and it really shows. (I played using a keyboard, and had several points where I confused "strong attack" and "guard".)

The boss battles are challenging, but a lot of fun to play through, though having precise timing really helps. There's additional lore being gated by playing well, such as having a high combo, not getting KO'd or beating a boss quickly.

The characters are very loveable and charming, and the general plight and messaging of the game (anti-capitalism, anti-controlling churches, having an unending fight to improve the world you live in, and ACAB) are all meaningful and really apt for the world we currently live in. The character interactions, drama and relationships are very well written and charming.

Overall, I think it's an absolutely lovely game that's filled with a very clever blend of charming writing and challenging gameplay. The inspiration sources were very apparent and all excellent, and show a brilliant pedigree for the game and that the creator has excellent taste. I look forward to future works from them!

BOSSGAME is out now on Steam and YOU, faithful player, wonderful supporter, could do me the lovely favor of leaving a review!! It'd mean a lot to me... it's got around 30 reviews currently, and once I get 50 reviews I get

āœØšŸ™ Maximum Steam Promo Points šŸ™āœØ

And if you still haven't checked out the game, you should! It's really good! It's full of fast & tricky battles and when you beat a boss you get to see two dorky women flirt

thank you again for all of your support ~
