Me and who
#bugs
I have a new enamel pin set on kickstarter now. A lot of people told me they liked the honeybee from my previous one that did not get unlocked, so now I have made a bug set.
I need more bug knowledge in my life.
I offer these facts in return:
Bees:
- Bees speak through dance.
- Only female bees have stingers.
- Male bees are thrown out of the hive during winter to conserve resources.
- Bees will play with balls for fun.
- Honey can last for hundreds of years when properly preserved.
Ants:
- Ants speak through pheromones.
- Ants have graveyards.
- If a living ant has the pheromones of a dead ant they will be brought to the graveyard (either by self isolation or brought their through peers).
- Ants are one of the only other species to declare wars.
Scorpions:
- Scorpions glow under a black light.
- Scorpions look after their offspring after birth.
It was a nice day with a warm breeze.
I found this firebug in my greenhouse, I thought they might be an unusual morph but I looked them up and I think that is just what they look like right after moulting. The black spots take a while to appear.

I gathered a lot of greens and herbs for the kids. Bunnies love bamboo btw, fortunately it grows in my garden.
