poked at Castlevania The Adventure a lil bit during lunch and i would never have believed a gameboy game could run that bad til now

otherwise just a middling 'vania but not TERRIBLE outside of performance

Well! Lil update on this: having my Steam Deck refresh rate down to 40hz was what was causing such bad slowdown, but the game doesn't exactly run well without that as a problem either? Its SOOOOO slow-paced in a way that makes it feel way worse. Definitely the worst classic 'vania I've played so far, hands down. Finished it though!

Mega Man style level select is an interesting format for a Castlevania game!!! The level design and much smoother gameplay make it sooooo much more of an enjoyable experience. Rough final boss in that one though, jesus christ fuck off dracula
