Today I saw lego_sex_2.jpg and quickly found myself on the self-published work page which is fun and funny, but mostly pictures that editors uploaded of themselves for their personal page, pictures of local monuments and graphs of various economic things. I got to an image of a cat, that was uploaded to the American Shorthair Cat page, and the Talk for it is great. Someone complains about the quality of an image uploaded because they clearly want the picture of their cat as the chief image. Later, someone states that the main image doesn't have the characteristics of an American Shorthair, but a Domestic Shorthair (common housecat) and someone else posts two bigass pictures as nominations for alternate pictures that could be used, also clearly their own cat.
Wikipedia is like a trainwreck of a conversation that takes place over 15 years between people who often live continents apart. It is the perfect internet and I love how much of it is hidden behind the veneer of respectability that naturally wants to fall down.
At least they fixed the issue with the page for Catapult incorrectly calling an Onager a Mangonel!
