My step-cat has kidney issues, and is already turning his nose up at his prescription diet after less than a week.
He acts very hungry: licking my nose, eating grass, going all velociraptor when he walks past the hole we used to have a mouse in, but when I show him his wet food he recoils.

I am sad, and tired, and I miss being a person.

And the world is full of horrors beyond reckoning

My small cousins are all gathered together for their mornyan ritual of staring at me until the wet food is ready.
