When I go to places with domesticated or semi-domesticated animals, I tend to make friends with them. Like…I just sit with them quietly and tell them truths they already know (that they are good doggos) and they follow me around and let me pet them.

In Taiwan, I made friends with these dogs who escorted me and my family every night to dinner.

I discovered this guy at our Kawaguchiko camp site in the night when we left tortilla chips out on our table and heard monching in the night. Sneaky boy!

In this case, he did not need to be told he is good (he already knows this), he wanted me to stay in one place and wiggle my fingers at him.
