god i love ctwc. is there anything more honorable than a bunch of guys in their 30s and 40s inventing a competition that 10 years later is dominated by happily weird nerd teenagers who show up to a retro gaming con with their parents? it's really hard for me to think of something

still playing DAS-only, i started at level 9 today and broke 250k for the first time :) (to my knowledge anyway, i might've gotten higher on my friend's NES in college but i can't remember my PB)

come to think of it, i think this is the first time playing strictly DAS where i reached this speed level? i didn't last super long but i did better than i expected honestly

This isn't necessarily a full-on PB, but this was after only a few minutes of making myself play DAS-style at a higher speed for the first time, so I'm still fairly pleased! I play on keyboard at the moment so normally I tap, but I wanted to try and get used to DAS play in case I end up getting an NES controller (and better yet, REAL hardware).

As usual, I started at level 15. Unfortunately I was sloppy with my stacking and wasn't paying attention to my line count, so I was caught off guard at the transition and topped out pretty quickly after misdropping a bunch LOL
