#coming out never ends

Our habit of keeping our pronouns up to date in our discord bio where people we haven't discussed those pronouns with can see has finally resulted in something. We were in a discord call with two friends, and a friend of theirs, who having referred to our discord used she/her, only to be "corrected" by a friend who just hadn't noticed what we've been doing. Which in hindsight was the obvious result of this.

Mind you, I did come out to this same friend as genderfluid as part of a bad joke yesterday. I guess they just assumed if I had pronoun news I'd've shared it then.

Oh, and I also had fae/fear listed there thanks to a typo.

Was thinking about new year's resolutions, and decided I should commit to coming out1 to my schoolfriend who I've been avoiding it with for fear he'll be transphobic. Either he's weird about it and I drop contact; or he's not and I can stop panicking every time I think of contacting him.

Then part of my brain logicked out that if it's good enough to commit to doing next year, I should just do it now. So I've sent the email (our usual communication method). With that, I'm out to everyone I'm still on contact with from school.

  1. As nonbinary, trans, and bi. Didn't have the energy for asexual/demiromantic, and very much do not have the inclination to come out as furry or otherkin to him. He can assume what he wants from my Steam profile pic (which is Echo).
