I went down a rabbithole this morning learning about vocaloids, what they are and why Kasane Teto is not one, her history, new design and about her new voice bank (turns out we can enjoy synthetic vocals, wow Synth V Teto sounds unreal), and turns out that in the official site they have a download link for a custom animated cursor set and this brings me the hell back, genuinely made me think "what year is this" and the files are all dated 2010 so yeah, I was sort of there (though don't remember much about online from then).

I dropped these all into C:\Windows\Cursors after extracting them and found my way to the cursor customization via the control panel, something microsoft doesn't like to show people anymore because they want you to do stuff with their new windows for display customization and stuff, but it's still there. I set everything up accordingly, saved it and now I have an animasted cursor set :3

Windows fucking sucks for customization as I'm sure all linux users here are well aware of so finding this is like being trapped inside a caved in tunnel and seeing some light creeping in from the outside. there's some (small) options you can still have fun with and by god I'll take them. I don't remember having fun with windows before but this is genuinely fun.
