I make excellent mulled wine.
cheapass gallon burgundy with:
- honey (or maple syrup, but I had honey)
- oranges (2 juiced, 1 sectioned with the peel on)
- nutmeg
- cinnamon (sticks)
- whole cloves
- star anise
- cardamom pods
- lavender
- splash of brandy
dump everything in the slow cooker, set to Low. then switch to Warm after an hour or so (or once it heats up) and leave it overnight. ta daa.
