even if it's funny seeing the few headhunting emails that get through often trying to advertise roles with a lower salary than we make
i think part of the reason we've put this off is that I struggle quantifying things; I can say "experienced with these technologies", but there's only one job where I can explicitly say "I saved the company at minimum $VALUE pounds per year" (retail business that relied on a very simple script to shutdown computers overnight that at some point stopped working; I corrected whatever issue was there)
I don't know how to put a figure on what critical incidents or last minute requests are worth... beyond, I suppose, the ones that mentioned a hefty fine... hmm.
(one of the people on our team has resigned, and he's one of the people i can see causing a domino effect by doing so, particularly if there's still a hiring freeze)
