fusion360 has nicer UI but a worse business model. so i'm practicing my solvespace skills by turning yesterday's sketches into 3d models.
then i gotta figure out how to turn them into reasonable dimensioned drawings

i want a digital readout on my mill, which means i have to build some custom bracket type stuff to attach the scales to the mill table. started taking measurements and doing some rough sketches.
there's still a couple of unsolved issues, like uh. how i'm going to do the quill DRO (i really want a quill fine adjustment too, and idk how to make that fit). but the X axis (left/right) should be fairly straightforward at least. just need to order aluminium for this (will probably do that this weekend)
then i need to drill into my mill slides, which is scary
