Kaijune 2024 - Day 27 [Inhospitable]

BIO:

Found in the gulf of Mexico, Salghrine was found when a group of Squat Lobsters were exploring some brine pools at the bottom of some undiscovered underwater caverns.

Seeming to be some sort of jawless fish kaiju, Salghrine shoots out large harpoon from its pharynx, spearing anything it can jab at and then dragging the animal into its pharynx for further processing. One of its most interesting features are the very obvious 'vents' on the side of its body which expel excess salt back into the ocean, sinking back down into the brine pool below.

It's not currently known how such a large creature can exist in an anoxic environment like a brine pool, but judging by how vacuous the cave it was found in was, it may not have been the only Salghrine in the pool. A small group of drone Squat Lobsters have been set up around the cave to monitor what kaiju may or may not exist in brine pool cave.

This was another one of those adopts I made that I ended up keeping so I made a replacement pigeon to make up for it! their name is passion and they're also on artfight 83 !!
