Kaijune 2024 - Day 21 [Radio Silence]

As Kyphor and Engravita made their way into the Cursed King's chambers, it became increasingly clear that the mechs that'd tagged along would be playing supression to the various smaller amalgams due to the sheer amount of them.

Accentuated as they made it to the main caver proper, the group found themselves in what seemed to be a castle-like interior lit by giant crytsals of titanima, Most of the amalgams were outside of the room, guarding it rather than inside, meaning that the mechs and the mass-shifters were spilt up. As if expecting them, the Cursed King was already on his Royal Throne, leaving little time for them to react to such a large kaiju in an enclosed space.

The two of them made the best use of their gravitational manipulation to deconstruct the walls and huck the giant bricks used to make the lair, as well as Kyphor teaching Engravita how to use her gravity powers to jump higher and faster. Unfortunately, even after striping the lair near-bare of bricks, they weren't much closer to defeating the Royal Throne, that is until Scirox burst from the ceiling, and tackled the Cursed King onto the ground. Blind without its master, the Royal Throne began to flail about, trying to find the Cursed King. This was just enough of an opening for Engravita to bolt over to Scirox and deilver a fatal blow, the now blind Royal Throne flailing aimlessly as it no longer knew what to do. The three then manuevered around as the Royal Throne began to lash out in any direction, slowly destroying the cave as it attacked at random. Despite the many injuries, they managed to kill the giant beast, allowing them a moment of relaxation.

They then had to go back into the lair with the mechs and dispatch of those amalgams too, but as was caught on tape, Kyphor did not follow Engravita and Scirox, instead staying in the central lair. Soon after they began cleaning out the rest of the amalgams, a giant cracking noise could be heard as Kyphor re-activated her smokescreen and the Advent units gathered around the pile of bones that used to be the Cursed King and the Royal Throne, an enormous kaiju emerging from the hole in the ceiling. The camera on Engravita showed the massive kaiju grabbing handfuls of bones from skeletons, before disappearing along with the rest of the Ascent's units, leaving the KDF, Engravita, and Scirox without their help, communications going entirely silent.

Two hours later Engravita emerged from the hole, alongside 6 of 10 KDF mecha, her collapsing onto the ground immediately as her suit forced her to shrink back to normal size.

Little is known of what the giant kaiju was, other than it obviously being of Ascent origin, but nobody knows for what reason they gathered the Cursed King's bones. The kaiju has been nicknamed "The Gravestealer" for this action.
