Sometimes, I chastise myself for not coming up with the best version of something right away, like Claire's old design: something that had a poorly "busier" color scheme and failed to utilize "shape theory" properly, despite how better should've come from someone designing a mascot character with MY number of years in age and general artistic experience.
Sometimes, I worry about what would've happened had I not realized a better way to execute an idea: case in point, trying the mess that likely would've been Claire's Companions, before making it into Tykes At Heart. The former involved different episodes of Claire with her different "companions," who were all the large original cast of characters I've come up with so far (20 at least). Of course, at the very least, there'd be a "companion-limit" per episode for convenience's sake, but still would've been far too difficult and ambitious. I dread the thought of still trying to "make it work," instead of realizing it's best left to Claire, Cio, Leena and Sparky as the protagonistic quartet of TAH.
Over all, shouldn't someone MY age and with MY years in creative endeavors know better by now, and especially be SOMEWHERE by now? Then, I find out that CK64 is technically a game that was around 13 YEARS in "development": Final Freekend was conceptualized back in 2010 and its demo finished 2011, but only did it finally become CK64 in 2023. Bogosoft just needed a while to figure out how to make the idea properly work.
Same story with Scott Cawthon: he's been making video games his entire life, but only when he utilized his graphical style for animatronic horrors was he able to make something that "worked." Also, George Abingdon and Danny Antonucci: two names associated with Ed Edd n Eddy, one for being the original creator and the other for making the "sequel" series of Peach Creek. PC took 4 years to finally see its first episode, taking so long that people actually believed it was a fundable scam that Eddy himself would think up! As for Antonucci, it was only in his 40's (or at least far into his animation career) that he was able to finally make his own show see success, after the failure of The Brothers Grunt and his more obscure works.
I also wanted to draw in Foxy, and Sarah and Jimmy to have them also rely the message-- plus, Alexis --but I figured just Seve and Ally were enough.
So, here they're giving me a reminder about creative endeavors (with Claire once again being a personal stand-in) that...
