Last night I dreamed that I was in an FPS where "everyone" in the unspecified space-y setting was getting turned into zombies except you and your immediate NPC allies; however, eventually the allies were starting to get turned into zombies as well. Then Durandal from Marathon was giving his "i did it i did it i saw our three-eyed friends where they weren't looking at us and i made them look at us" speech (I haven't played Marathon in years and I never got that far; waking-me got the speech from a post on Tumblr from 2012 comparing Durandal with Lil Hal from Homestuck).

I then had to fight enemies from Doom. In what the dream claimed was a late-game area, I found this "shop" which was like, this console in the middle of a basement, where you could buy and upgrade superpowers. It wasn't clear even in the dream what the currency was, and at first I thought it was a one-time deal because this was the only place in the game where you could use it, and I only had 34 or so of whatever-currency. However, the amount I had on hand was ballooning up to the 1000s in the space of seconds, and it turned out that it was actually a menu you could call up whenever. Naturally, I put everything I had into slowing and stopping time.
