my ffxiv character has had a lot of different "main" jobs over the years, but the last 2 expansions i wound up playing a lot of dragoon in MSQ. i was more "main" paladin in endwalker but DT wound up being almost exclusively dragoon for me, because flying spear lady is just such good Aesthetic... with this spear i prop myself up in order to kiss dragons, and also just look really cool as an ally standing next to just about anybody

i somehow forgot to add my most pertinent and important critique of the job to this ramble, which is: Why In The Goddamn Are Lance Charge And Geirskogul 2 Separate Buttons. the flavor gimmick of blood for blood is long gone, they are both buttons with a 60s cooldown that increase your damage dealt for 20 seconds, you will only ever be pushing them together, there's already gallons of buttons to push, just make geirskogul an upgrade to lance charge with a 35% damage increase or whatever

i know i was several paragraphs deep into a response when unfortunate burnout timing led to me not wanting to think so much about ffxiv at the time, but sadly i cannot find that draft now. so instead of an in-depth dive on my thoughts on Why i love certain tracks i will simply spin some answers off the top of my head and blast em out there while i still can. maybe this is better anyway. halfway through making this post again it's clear i'm incapable of not spouting Too Many Words on the subject, and too indecisive to narrow down even to a single-digit number of "favorites". this is simply a fact of life for me

this list will probably not be truly 100% comprehensive and definitive because there's 78932457239 songs in the game and i can't hold all of them in my brain. any readers who don't want to read a mile-long list of ffxiv songs should at least know that the best one is this
