Maybe a bit more of a standard question, but favorite FFXIV song? Perhaps do it in categories, since trial music feels different than dungeon music feels different from area music.
i know i was several paragraphs deep into a response when unfortunate burnout timing led to me not wanting to think so much about ffxiv at the time, but sadly i cannot find that draft now. so instead of an in-depth dive on my thoughts on Why i love certain tracks i will simply spin some answers off the top of my head and blast em out there while i still can. maybe this is better anyway. halfway through making this post again it's clear i'm incapable of not spouting Too Many Words on the subject, and too indecisive to narrow down even to a single-digit number of "favorites". this is simply a fact of life for me
this list will probably not be truly 100% comprehensive and definitive because there's 78932457239 songs in the game and i can't hold all of them in my brain. any readers who don't want to read a mile-long list of ffxiv songs should at least know that the best one is this
