fighting for my life trying to figure out how to do even a basic texture swap in Penumbra (which would not even really be enough to get where i’m trying to go but is definitely a prerequisite) - i can export textures, but it’s not clear how to import them, so the only thing that i’ve managed to actually get working is the Penumbra color transform matrix. but hey, it’s the Great Eggbug of Ronka, kinda

i can get @xenonfossil’s low-poly eggbug into TexTools but the replaced model isn’t rendering at all in game. i don’t think it’s just off-screen or something, the penumbra on-screen list just doesn't have a model at all, and i’m not entirely certain what’s going on here. when i round trip the great serpent model through blender it still works, and when i try to just splice the eggbug model in instead it fails like this, so i’m not entirely certain where the problem originates. if i still care after work tomorrow i may try just sculpting the great serpent mesh into a more eggbugular shape, maybe there’s just something load-bearing in there i don’t understand

So, this week's streams are all EFFECTIVELY cancelled from Wednesday onward. Getting my Wisdom teeth out so I probably won't be in any position to stream anything. I might do something Friday/Saturday if I feel I've recovered enough by then but... we'll see.

🏖️ Secret Surprise Sunday (Sep 15 @3pm): Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail

Another after-the-fact since I waffled on what to play for a while, but ended up deciding to finish up FFXIV. Dawntrail is all done and dusted, barring any sudden desire to stream doing the raids or when new patches hit.

⌛ Hump Day with Ham (Sep 18 @8pm): NO STREAM

This is literally the day I'm getting them teefs out, so I will likely not be up for much of ANYTHING, let alone streaming. If I have any wherewithal or desire to stream, I'll honestly be shocked and someone should probably stop me.

⌛ Freeform Friday (Sep 20 @8pm): NO STREAM...

While I still think I'll be recovering at this point, there is a small chance I MIGHT be up for streaming. If I am, it'll probably be something light and probably with not a lot of talking. Which may be a positive for some.

⌛ Longplay Saturday (Sep 21 @3pm): NO STREAM...?

Similar to above, though with another day's worth of recovery here. If I'm feeling up for it, I might continue SD Gundam but I make no promises. Though, that said, if there was a day this week with the best stream chances, it'd be this one.

We're in the final area, with our penultimate task set before us. Turn off the terminals and then go deal with Sphene. As I've said, while the events that led up to this area are a bit... scuffed to me, there's some good scenes to come here.
