Okay, Squeenix is really trying to give Fishers more to do in Dawntrail. I just got my fishing retainer to level 100, and there are several times as many fish I could send her out to catch as in previous expansions. I don’t mind Fishers having more fun, but I do mind having to learn to fish myself if I want to be self sufficient on combat gear production — some of the current stuff needs Mythbrine Aethersand, which is only obtained by aetherially reducing collectable fish.

Welp, I leveled Fisher off GC turnins from the market board exactly because I thought I might need it some day. Now I just need to resume my Fisher class quests from level 30 or so, where I stopped fishing because it was un-fun…
