So, Hamish (I'm not sure if he's on cohost) decided that, instead of #Dungeon23, he was gonna do #sprawl23, making a person or organization every day, so that at the end he'd have a sprawling metroplex.
I'm doing a similar thing, but using it to fill out the massive number of orgs, people, and whatnot for a FitD game, this one for the supers game I've been working on since...uhh...a while ago.
I'm posting them daily in a discord I'm in, and I'll post weekly roundups here. Or maybe start crossposting here to get in the habit.
Week 1: Aegis A semi-governmental organization made up of Earth's mightiest heroes. They defend earth, and Harbor City, from planet scale threats: Alien invasion, Meta villains, etc. They also keep tabs on all meta humans and demand those above a certain power level join up, and if you're not paying into their protection racket..er, insurance..your house/building/car tends to be the first thing destroyed in a fight.
This is a Tier V organization. Your goal is that they never notice your existence.
1/2: Member of Aegis - Heimdallr Odinson, the Norse God of Sentinels and Watchmen. After Valhalla fell in the last battle, he descended to Midgard (Earth) and took up with the other heroes, now standing watch atop the $(INSERT_HEADQUARTERS_NAME) to look for new threats big and small.
1/3 Affiliated Powers: There are lower level meta humans/masks who aren't powerful enough to join the ranks, but are still affiliated with them. They get ID cards and healthcare and some level of protection from the organization's affiliation with the state. They're expected to help out with things like crowd control or the minor lackey's and goons from larger threats, but otherwise keep to themselves. Individually they are Tier 1, they may band together in small teams that are higher tier
1/4 Member of Aegis - Soladat. A relic of the cold war, a human infused with alien blood and cybernetics, he now patrols the city looking for the infiltrators (aliens who are pretending to be humans) and crush their cells whenever possible. Cares less and less about civilian casualties as time goes on.
1/5 Aspect - Like all organizations, Ageis is filled with factions and cliques, some public, others hidden. This means that sometimes, those in the Dark can be hired by some of these cliques, either directly or through cutouts.
1/6 Member of Ageis: The Cyclone - She's faster than a speeding bullet. Actually, she's faster than just about everything, breaking several laws of physics just staying on the ground. 1/7 Ashckekerkeenit - A defector of the Koumere, they decided that Earth was worth keeping, and have pledged their support and knowledge to that effect.
