#food for thought
having conversations with friends about who is/isn't queer but not in terms of labels, instead in terms of actions makes a lot of sense. i think that sometimes, a lot of people get caught up in the labels around being queer instead of like acting as a community. if we continue to act as if one label makes you superior instead of the actual actions you take to make the community better.
the other reason i think this is because i consistently see the "i am morally superior because i am queer and you aren't" when that's just not how morality works? it reminds me of chronically online people always putting People of Color on a pedestal because we've started moralizing being a Person of Color instead of taking it for what it actually means....that they're oppressed.
idk. food for thought or whatever.
The most important thing I have gleaned from this rewatch of "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" in 2024 is that Farah, Dirk, and Todd should have just formed a polycule.
