Arnebam specializes communications and strategy, but has been known to engage in remote piloting when an extra body is needed. Being one of the first Archliches, they have lived a very long, very storied life, acting as archivist and at one point, spiritual leader as the figurehead of the Twilit Preservation Society. It is their work that, unfortunately, ended up replicated in half-finished and desperate manners that resulted in the formation of necromancy, a stain on the world they personally vowed themselves to erasing.

To this end, they work with the Defense Unit as part of the codenamed "Eulogy" division, meant to both ease unwilling undead into their proper resting place, stabilize those who have noble intentions but have fallen victim to improper technique, or neutralize malicious individuals seeking to exploit others. Despite undead generally not becoming much larger than the larger beings in the world, this does have overlap with their demon hunting division due to most hostile demons preying on lost souls, and Twilit itself having birthed the martial and arcane arts that form the foundation of anti-demonic weaponry, and as a result they are often asked for consultation and even to fill in as mission command for key operatives.

Their skills have only increased as technology - and especially cybernetics - become more commonplace, with living and undead alike noting the numerous... interesting ways they interact with the connection between body and soul. Arnebam's myriad of arcane focuses act as the multicore power of their own supercomputer, with their phylactery acting as the memory unit and allowing them to operate machinery integrated into the system as if it were their own body.

However, with these advantages comes steadily-growing concerns in their own reflections on their life. Mainly, a question that plagues technology, biology and spirituality alike; How long can something remain in use before it begins to break down? They've replaced burnt fuses and frayed wires, but Arnebam has also had to discard more and more of their original skeleton. While they can absolutely exist without it, there is still a sentimentality they hold to it, knowing that a part of their own physicality remains in the world, seeing it as a message that eventually, they will have to move on.

In the end, however, they're fairly confident they're more than welcome to stick around and help keep the world safe until the final major threats are dealt with.
