obscuring algorithms is a political collage, inspired by the recent discourse around the ethics of algorithmic, generated art. i wanted to visually manifest the critique of how algorithmic art can crowd artists out of commercial spaces, so i glued tiny and obnoxious algorithmic-style linocuts onto a palette knife painting. fun details: the background is dkc minecart mayhem and the prints have a system 6 border.
due to limited emotional resources, i haven't been creating much this year, and i miss it. i often joke that every piece is my last one because of adhd, but my prior "sacramento van life" print almost was. i'm hoping to start a new sculpture this week.
