Artists, especially furry artists: when you take commissions, please, USE INVOICES. They are a must in the current furry art market. They create a paper trail in which you have full control over what's being said, which means you can prevent misunderstandings (or deliberate fabrications) later on.

They are a way to protect you from chargebacks, and hold your clients accountable - they're also a way for your clients to hold YOU accountable. It's itemized so that your customer knows exactly what they are paying for (this is especially useful if you charge for things like detail fees and extra characters), and it precludes your client putting in anything weird that might get you banned from your payment processor (e.g. "thanks for the furry porn"). On PayPal's invoices, you can enable the option for your customers to add a tip (and many of them will do so).

It gives your client confidence when they commission you because it is infinitely more professional than just saying "please send X dollars to my PayPal." There you're just giving your client a polite "give me my money." With an invoice, your clients are getting a receipt: "These are the specific goods/services for which you are paying."

You can cover your ass by adding seller notes, terms and conditions, and anything else you want a written record of your customer receiving.

Frankly, I not only always send invoices to my commissioners, but I also don't commission artists anymore if they aren't willing to send me an invoice. There really is no excuse for not using them.

Now that I've started off a decent sticker set where I'm a little creature (stickers #1-18) we're off to see how I deal with routine events of life in an enclave! Both "halves" of this 36-sticker project are part of the same pack; after the remaining 12 in this half, the plan is to introduce one enclave sticker for every one creature sticker.

(additionally, I recognize a few of these stickers are a bit more complicated than the ones in previous sets; I promise not to overwork the remainder of these -- though I have resolved to use some new software for the next one. And yes, this is the isekai scenario I was talking about in January; feedback is still accepted, naturally)

EDIT: The last sticker in the set has been replaced! The previous one (where I'm directing my statement at the camera instead of to myself) seemed kind of mean-spirited, which I definitely want to avoid.

Contact with a mysterious artifact unknowingly splits one armored life into two vulnerable paths: One as a very rare (but not unheard-of) transformation into a member of an established population percentage of naturally-hatched sapient fishing rodents on the world she knows, the other as a transplant into a different world, having to get by in not just an unfamiliar body but a foreign social structure; eventually invited into a progressive enclave and encouraged to follow her bliss. Having lost everything in the world shift, the adjustment period is extremely harsh and its challenges require her to carry herself differently from her counterpart, but the resulting life is a good one nonetheless.
