The girls are back together. Binge watching one set at a time, especially the second set, was probably not a good idea. Cruel bastards put the end of season 2, disc 1 at "Our Empty Selves." You're expected to have the energy to do ANYTHING after getting completely wrecked.
The second viewing really underlined how much of a worthy successor to Revolutionary Girl Utena it is. The writer did the RGU manga, so it's not a surprise. Even though Witch from Mercury is still souped-up sci-fi with a bunch of rich kids, it provides a more realistic world where everyone's been poisoned by it, and we all have to learn how poison has affected everything, how to live with others, and most importantly, how to live with ourselves.
