So i managed to get the second season of Gundan: Witch from Mercury dubbed in Brazilian portuguese to watch with my mom (we call it, the Sulleta Cartoon).
I managed to download from a website called "Hinata Soul" all the episodes.
After watching 2 of them together some days ago, I remember the day before yesterday, I went to check the last episode of the show to see how they would translate "Sister in law".
To my surprise when the dialogue would happen, the audio stops, the image stops for a bit, and the dialogue continues after that.
But it gets all out of sync, the end all the dialogue don't match the mouth flaps of 2 seconds of diference or more.
So because I never paid for streaming service in my life, I wondered if that would be on the official version, which i guessed was probably not given i didn't saw any complaints anyhwere
I managed to ask someone to check for me, and him managed to record the clip on the Crunchyroll, and indeed, the sister in law line was there (cunhada).
So the one who pirated, literally edited shitly because of homophobia.
the audio is in portuguese, but here the video i did, showing the copy i dowloaded and then the recording on phone, that to the english ear, i think is possible to hear the problem.
i tried to comment on the page of where i dowloaded, but the "Hinata Soul" judged me and deleted my comments over and over.
i think is the third time i saw bullshit like this in Brazilian fan adaptations, first was the subs in Golden Kamuy making all the characters to misgender a character, then the whole can of worms with Chainsaw man fan translation of the manga that i am not equipped to explain that in English, and now this.
