Specifically, Frieren and like the 9th or 10th doctor (with a dash of the 11th thrown in for good measure).
They're both immortals with immense knowledge about the universe, who choose to use that power instead to travel the world with their human friends, whom they know they will outlive, but do it anyways because human connection is worth it. They both try to solve people's problems and sometimes fail. Oh, and both Frieren and Doctor Who as shows have a very bittersweet tone to it.
Also, I guess you could say the demons in Frieren are analogous to the Daleks, but that's a bit of a stretch even for me. I will say the way Frieren treats demons is very similar to the way the 9th Doctor treated Daleks.
