they told me to carve the scariest thing I can think of in this pumpkin but I dunno how to carve social interaction???

Some of you may know that I've been super obsessing over getting an Amiga. I finally found the perfect one on eBay a little over a week ago and am super hype for it to come in the mail. One piece of software I'm super excited to play around with is Deluxe Paint.

After watching videos of people using it and seeing "advanced tips and tricks" videos, it absolutely blows my mind how deep it is for a pixel art program even by modern standards. I've been using Photoshop for like 15 years and some of the stuff I've seen people whip up in 5 minutes while explaining the process blows my mind! For a bunch of it, I'm honestly not even sure where I would start in replicating it in modern art software if I wanted to keep the pixel art properties like color palette, palette cycling, and pixel ratios, not to mention it would take a hell of a lot longer :O

I love how in the Pluto anime they actually include the distortion from glasses lenses on characters that wear them and they even have different types of distortion to mimic the way lenses for both near and farsightedness would. It's such a neat bit of attention to detail that I don't think I've ever seen in another anime.
