Hey music-loving chosters, anyone got recommendations for YouTube channels of people just going through their collection and chatting about the music they have? Been in the mood to just hear people share their passion and vibing without the need to be a Big YouTube Music Reviewer? The calmer and collected the better. Not bothered about genre per se.
I'm also always up for some good text-heavy music blogs to add to my RSS reader if any are still around...
In short, the show has, by the end of S02, established its repetoire of cinematic tools in conveying its narrative, including how it presents and deals with twists and hard-cuts to presently-unexplained situations.
The language of the show does not strongly (or even remotely) indicate the decision of the two main characters at the very end. In fact, they seem to have simply been teleported to their present location. Not even a significant change in time via daylight movement - just... Hard cut, one line of explanation. Which is normally how the show works, but we then typically spend the next scene or episode exploring what that action does to the other characters in some way - Not here, though! Not in what could be the finale of the whole show if it doesn't get renewed. None of the characters react to, or seem to be changed in any way by their absence.
WHY they leave is explained, yes. But not how - and sure, that's fine, it's not a show about How. But it IS a show about how our actions affect others, and then they just don't show how a BUNCH of the central characters react to the leaving/absence of two central characters.
Like, even a 10sec clip of a shared, silent nod between Ed and Stede and the crew, accepting their leaving with complex thoughts, would have SOLD it. But I spent the last 30 seconds of that ep confused. Sad.
