actually btw, speaking genuinely and seriously as a person with health issues especially affecting temperature regulation, become more comfortable with seeing people's feet. as long as you're being conscientious of health concerns, you should be able to take your shoes and/or socks off in public without judgment; you should be able to wear socks and sandals without judgment (this is entirely a cultural thing!); you should be able to wear open toed shoes without judgment, no matter what your feet look like
