e: 1006/1200 raised for a new bike! so close already! thank you to everyone who shared and donated so far!

surprising perhaps only me, my life absolutely exploded again. i have very few resources at the moment. 75% of my tiny disability benefit income goes to rent, and my mission-critical ebike was stolen, leaving me stranded in a desperately filthy boarding house.

i need funds, for transportation and supplies. i cannot walk long distances, necessitating a bike or scooter and delivery services

anything helps, especially sharing this post anywhere!

evening bump and some goals

through the kindness of others i have already raised 170 us currency units, and that is a hell of a start! here are some rough goals:

$400: a used electric scooter. i would like to avoid this seeing as they dont tend to be durable as bikes, but it will serve to help me get to and from bus stops

$800: a new electric scooter! i would be fine with this, with the only drawback being i live in michigan and apparently these guys dont like rain. with a new scooter under warranty i would trust it further with my large body

$1200: a replacement ebike! safer, faster, waterproof enough, and hella range in addition to being designed to carry my legendary bulk; this would also allow me to get the exercise i need to treat my lymphedema. the ideal. the most freedom i could buy.

i dont expect to make $1200. if i can get close to any of these goals, i can put the purchase on a credit card and eat interest for a couple months or whatever.

So tonight i played borderlands 1 remaster past midnight, checked socials and... kosa has passed its senate committee vote with 86-1. Yes committee, not a full senate vote despite what i was lead to believe from the words of others. Apologies for that. So despite this news, there is still time to stop this, we just need to work hard to resist it.

The bill has not reached the finish line, it only a passed a checkpoint. We can still turn it around.
