It's One Minute to Midnight Again...
In all my time alive in this timeline, never once did I ever think that people would forget the lessons of the Cold War... I knew things were heating up quite a little bit, but I didn't think things'd ever heat up to the point where we're on the brink of a nuclear war...
AGAIN...
No, I didn't think humanity would be stupid enough to ignore what we learned from films like The Day After, which portrayed an UNDERSTATED chain of events that would happen, in the event of escalations leading up to a nuclear war, all the way through the bombings, the fallout, and the aftermath.
Hell, we have whole goddamn videogame franchises based off of this concept, told from BOTH PERSPECTIVES, that people love! It's not like this shit's gone outta the public consciousness of the post-boomer generations...
These are dark times... I'll be here until the very end!
