Oh, that's a good one. Me, I can't stand games that start off describing themselves with the likes of, "(Game) is a (genre) (maybe another genre) with (very different genre) elements inspired by (famous game) and the works of (famous creator)."

I understand that the creators of these games want to get people interested by rattling off things they may like, but it's everywhere. It's like Mad Libs instead of a proper, interesting description. Instant. Turnoff.

Is this what every poor person has to go trough? Working with ways that are actively harming you, even making permanently damage on your body in some way or another, feeling terrible but still having to do it because if you don't do it, you will lost the possibility of getting out of a miserable cycle only to step on a lesser miserable cycle.

Everyday my eyes can only see good an static rock that is just a tiny bit far from me. Today they're worse than weeks ago, and I'm sure that they will become worse.

Maybe it worked 20 years ago. It wanted me to enable JavaScipt. You may know Javascript as the "Online security nightmare that browsers stopped using some time ago." I enabled it anyway despite Firefox's warnings.

The application form that I MUST use was still inaccessible. I switched to Microsoft Edge because it was an option that was forced upon my computer when I got it. Javascript was fine. Now it wanted Adobe Reader installed in order for me to get the application form that I MUST use.

I installed Adobe Reader to Edge from Adobe themselves. The most recent version. The application form that I MUST use remained out of reach.

I called their contact number to complain about their shoddy site coding. A computer voice told me that the call was being forwarded to another person. Then it told me that the other person did not have a valid referral number. Then it said good-bye and hung up.

Not only was I lacking a way get a government application form that I MUST use, I was lacking someone to yell at about it. So I looked for an email address to do some abusing that way. I found an online contact form with a limit of 280 characters like it was Xitter or some bullshit.

I tried to be as clear as possible;

1. Authentication of Documents application online form DOES NOT WORK. 2. Contact phone number forwards to a new number that DOES NOT WORK.

To their credit they got back to me within an hour, while I was out getting groceries. They must get these complaints a lot since it was a form letter. It told me to do the things I already did. But here's the topper;

...you can try opening the document using a different browser or by installing the newest version of Internet Explorer.

You know IE, right? It was that browser that Windows discontinued years ago for being a massive turd. They also told me to call them at the phone number I said doesn't work.

Thankfully I know a lot of clever part-time hacker computer types. They found some workarounds and I eventually got the application form that I MUST use printed out. Now I can mail off my documents.

I will admit that I am a bit sad that my planned trip to Ottawa to yell at some bureaucrats didn't pan out.

To be clear: This sort of thing is done on purpose to get you to quit trying to access the government services you have every right to access because it was your taxes that paid for it to begin with. You and me getting the help-me money all of our taxes paid for gets in the way of their corporate welfare and the lining of their own pockets.
