It's pretty clear, looking from the US to Europe to Aotearoa, that liberal capitalism is collapsing, that the contradictions inherent to it are coming to the fore and people are losing faith in it and in the governments that have presided over it.
This is inevitable, and can proceed in one of two ways: either it reaches its natural endpoint in fascism, or it is swept away in revolution. Only one of those is currently prepared to take power. While there are many existing communist parties, in my experience most of them seem to focus their efforts on attracting existing communists, which will never be sufficient on its own - the world needs more communists.
To that end, I have tried to produce a modernised form of Engels' foundational Principles of Communism, keeping the content & meaning the same while updating the language to the modern day, because I still think it the ideal starting point but with many people thinking communism failed 30 years ago it doesn't help us seem relevant if we open with a document that acts like it's still 1847.
I encourage anyone to read it, especially nonspecific "leftists" or those who still trust in the established political systems to protect & liberate us. Read it, share it, distribute it however you wish, if it brings just one person to accept communism it will have done its job.
