It takes a bit for that rocket booster to get warmed up.
If you were wondering what I meant with "ski legs", this is how they work!

and not being great at tagging their posts I guess?? and that bothers some of y'all enough that you need to Start A Whole Discourse about it???
what the fuck man?

About: I was asked to draw the art for a promotional poster for Miyakonojo's annual Foreigners Are Good for Japan cultural festival. It was voluntary but I did it because the city government's Foreigner department did help me several times so I figured that I owed them a solid.
The colour image was what they wanted after I included their suggestions. Including the Gangnam Style dancer in the background, which gives you a good idea of the year. I suppose there are more "foreign" looking folks in their preferred version, but I would have tried to give it more of a party atmosphere.
The amazing part? I drew this all in GIMP.
In the end, it did put me off of the idea of ever doing commissions on the regular. It was a test of patience doing something like this where I had a lot of control over the concept. What a misery drawing someone's Sexy Chimera Falin wank material would be!
Anyway, quite a difference from how I draw now. Yet still largely the same.
The Tangent: I prefer the first one but I suppose it looks like the foreign guy is pulling Japanese girls and that's why it got rejected. You know how huffy men can get about that.
When it comes down to those sorts of cross cultural relationships, my view has always been that the "Why?" part of what causes people to partner up doesn't matter. Race fetish, size fetish, culture fetish, glasses fetish, mommy fetish, maid fetish, trad fetish, Chad fetish, or a simple desire to not die alone. Motivation simply doesn't matter because we all enter into relationships for selfish reasons.
The only thing that matters is that you treat each other well within the relationship.
This is obvious.
