I never really got comfortable drawing in a sketch book. I know a lot of people who maintain them as a messy idea journal. I drew on copy paper and everything in a three ring binder with those plastic page things to hold completed drawings. I needed to be able to swap out drawing or disregard drawings that didn't spark for me. Today I draw on Post-It notes, maintain a Notion notebook, and just have the messiest file structure on my computer.
