Found something late last night as I was bemoaning the state of the FFXIV Mac client a fanmade open source client. Created a trial account to test it out as I am not sure I will resub to the game yet but have been itching to play. As a Mac user playing this game, or well just about any game, can be a chore, but this actually does a really great job at it. It uses wine just like the regular Mac client but it doesn't require me to buy a special Mac client on top of owning the windows client and it enables DXVK which helps performance a shit ton.
