The general image I’ve developed of humanity after the past few years is that people won’t take action on a shark fin poking out of the water. They want to stay in the water and have fun until they get mauled to death. If you do anything to nudge them before the shark attacks, they’ll get angry. And then, as they’re dying, they’ll call you names for not doing anything to save them
