The history of cannabis use and its more recent legal history, solid-state computing, the politics of lithium mining, Apple Store design, social views on smoking, consumerism under capitalism, me getting older, etc., etc., etc.
When I'm being real honest, that's the thing that scares me the most about the future: there's so many of these threads binding our web of existence together, and we're going to see a lot more of them fray and snap. Which ones are the ones that really matter? Will we figure that out before or after it's too late? How many points of no return have we already unknowingly crossed?
All in a stupid little semi-disposable device that cost me under twenty bucks plus the cart.
