ffxiv should have the option so that once you've beaten an expansion with one character, you can start a new character from the beginning or end of any expansion you've completed

I'm plural and genderfluid. I've also somehow slogged through ARR and HW and holy fucking shit I never want to do that again. I know you can pay to skip ARR but like... fuck that. I can't afford that. I can barely afford the subscription. I'm back into the game after 5 months off of it because of money and burnout caused by ARR and HW.

fantasia costs money. ARR skip costs money. I just want a place where my character can reflect my current gender and plural state at will. either make fantasia free or make it so you can pick up a new character after any expansion you've already cleared, please I'm begging

plus... $10 USD for a name change!? are you kidding me!? I understand limiting how many times you can change your name but come the fuck on, it's cheaper for you to legally change your name in real fucking life in some parts of the world

on frames

Frames are pretty boring, I don't much like making em but they take zero time, a shitpost in wood. No real load on them, no technical demands, just cut a rabbet big enough for whatever you're going to stuff in there and make four right angle joints. I often just screw a plywood sheet behind the corners, it gets it real flat and tough and nobody's going to be popping the picture out and replacing it anyway. Maybe one of these little keys over the front miters, to cover the seam one of those little keys

If you've got some cool looking material to work with, just use that, people go bananas a mission-style stained oak frame, with stone inlay If the material sucks, just stick a thing on it. Any kind of thing. This thing was originally a stack of firewood. a big frame made out of short sticks of sycamore, butterflied together at the ends On occasion, you get one with more complex demands weird fuckin lightbox, in production

Looking for: (hardware) word processor recommendations!

Is there such a thing as a word processing device that:

  • Isn't as expensive or deliberately missing basic features as the Freewrite

  • Doesn't have a massive printer built in

  • Isn't an AlphaSmart (I just really don't like the aesthetics on those?)

I've tried the USB-OTG keyboard → phone thing, and it's OK, but I'm just curious about whether any suitable Devices That Just Type And That's It exist.
